Dame JaCkie Erickson's Creative Catalyst Award

The Creative Catalyst Award recognizes a local artist, musician, or creative who sparks connection, inspires collaboration, and helps move Northern Colorado’s creative community forward. This award celebrates individuals who use their voice, vision, and creativity to uplift others, amplify local culture, and strengthen our region through meaningful artistic impact.

Recipients of this award receive a $500 grant from Dame JaCkie Erickson and KRFC, two social media posts highlighting them as the Creative Catalyst of the month, and a live drop-in on air interview.

Katie Hemphill, Sr. Art Instructor from Studio H was nominated by Karen Dickason a long-time student of Studio H for the KRFC 88.9 FM-Dame JaCkie Erickson Creative Catalyst Award, and she spoke so highly of Katie's work and the impact she continues to make across Northern Colorado. Katie's dedication to her craft, her persistence as a working artist, and the vision she brings forward for 2026 truly embody the spirit of this award.
