We Re-opened! Studio Safety Steps & You

Updated: Jan 24, 2022

COVID-19 Art Studio Safety Policies and Procedures at Studio H

Welcome Back!

We are beyond excited to be re-opening our studio doors starting July 6, 2020! While we have always offered small class sizes and a clean and welcoming space, there are some additional procedures we have implemented to help keep everyone healthy and safe as we resume art in our physical studio.

We are currently following and maintaining the City of Fort Collins Emergency Rules and Regulations orders as they pertain to the Covid-19 virus. Once these orders are reduced and or eliminated we may adjust these safety policies and procedures and will notify students and parents/guardians on the parent portal. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time as we maintain the safety of each of our Studio H students, their families, and ours.

To help reassure you of the measures taken - here is what we have done and what you can expect when you attend an art class in our studio:

Changes to our Studio

  • Touchless faucets and soap dispensers have been installed in the studio and restroom.

  • New art benches are in place and have been positioned to allow extended distances between student art station areas.

  • Designated 6ft markings are placed on the floor inside and outside the studio.

  • Large room purifier with HEPA filtration.

  • City mandated Covid-19 order available for viewing (see front desk).

  • Best practices for washing and sanitizing hands posters have been placed near wash and sanitize stations.

  • New HEPA filter installed and maintained in HVAC system.

What You Can Expect

Here are the Safety Policies and Procedures we ask all students and families abide to:

Limited capacity:

  • At this time we will have a pick and drop off only, to limit the amount of people inside the studio. For back to back classes the students arriving for the second hour may have to wait briefly outside in order to maintain safe distancing and keep the occupancy of the studio to 10 or less students and their family members.

  • Class sizes have a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6 students per class.

Health Screening:

  • Touchless temperature reading will be taken upon entering the studio.

  • If the student has a fever the student will not be allowed inside and must be picked up. Our normal sickness policies are still in place.

  • Please arrive early before classes start to allow extra time to process our new safety policies and procedures.

Face Coverings:

  • Face covering must be worn at all times inside the studio.

  • Students without a face covering can purchase a mask for $5.00 which will be charged to their credit card on file.

  • Front door will be left open at class start and stop times (weather permitting).

Sanitization:

  • Students must wash hands after entering the studio. As always we do have a hand sanitizer station close to the entrance too (on the wall to the right of the guest chair).

  • Shared art supplies and equipment will be washed/sanitized after use (designated bins for used supplies).

  • All door handles, knobs, and high touch areas will be disinfected/sanitized before and after every class.

Thank you for all your support as we have navigated the challenges around continuing to offer our art classes and instruction to those who have participated in art at home and we can’t wait to see those students that we haven’t since the pandemic started.
